Uroflowmetry
Uroflowmetry – diagnosis of urination disorders
Uroflowmetry is a quick, painless and non-invasive test that assesses urine flow through the urethra. It helps in diagnosing, among others, prostatic hyperplasia, urethral strictures and bladder dysfunction. At Optima Clinic, we perform it in comfortable conditions, using modern equipment and full respect for the patient’s privacy.
Indications for uroflowmetry
The test is recommended primarily for patients reporting lower urinary tract symptoms, such as:
- weakened urine stream,
- frequent urge to urinate,
- difficulty in starting or ending micturition,
- a feeling of incomplete emptying of the bladder,
- intermittent or prolonged urination.
