Hydrocele is a condition in which serous fluid accumulates between the testicular sheaths, which leads to the gradual enlargement of the scrotum. Although this change usually does not cause pain, it can cause a feeling of discomfort, heaviness and tension in the perineal area.

What is the treatment for hydrocele testicular?
Most often, surgical removal of the hydrocele is performed – incision of the scrotum, evacuation of the fluid and protection of the testicular coverings from re-accumulation of fluid.
Is the procedure painful?
No – it is performed under local or general anesthesia. After the procedure, a slight feeling of tension or swelling is possible, which goes away after a few days.
How long does recovery take?
Returning to daily activity is usually possible after 3–7 days. During this time, it is recommended to avoid physical exertion and wear compression underwear.
Can the water bear come back?
The risk of recurrence is small, especially after surgical removal. In some cases, reintervention may be necessary.
