1. Marking and evaluation of veins

The doctor identifies incompetent veins and assesses the area that will be treated.

2. Local anesthesia

Local anesthesia of the area where the incompetent veins are located.

3. Skin incision

Making small incisions or punctures in the skin over the area affected by varicose veins.

4. Vein removal

Using special surgical instruments, the surgeon removes the incompetent vein.

5. Putting on a plaster or suture

Once the vein has been removed, a clear patch or single stitches may be placed, depending on the physician's preference.

6. Dressing

Applying a dressing or bandages to the area undergoing miniphlebectomy.

7. Return to normal activity

The patient can usually return to daily activities relatively quickly after the procedure.
