1. Assessment and marking of the area

The doctor evaluates the area with visible varicose veins and marks the places for sclerotherapy.

2. Patient preparation

The patient assumes a comfortable position.

3. Sclerosant injection

The doctor injects a sclerosant solution into the dilated blood vessels.

4. Gluing of blood vessels

Sclerosant causes the walls of the blood vessels to stick together, reducing the visibility of varicose veins.

5. Applying a dressing or compression bandages

After treatment, the area may be tied or compression bandages may be applied.

6. Return to normal activities

The patient can usually return to daily activities without major restrictions.
